Description
A Common Redshank (Tringa totanus) springs from calm, pale-blue water with wings raised and an elegant arc of droplets trailing behind. The long orange-red legs, slim bill, and speckled plumage identify this classic European shorebird. The minimalist composition and generous negative space create a clean, modern look that suits living rooms, offices, and coastal interiors. Ideal as a large print where the fine textures of the feathers and the water spray can be appreciated.
The Common Redshank (Tringa totanus) is a vigilant shorebird of European and Asian wetlands, feeding by rapid run-and-probe and the characteristic foot-trembling that flushes prey. It breeds in grassy marshes and wet meadows, usually laying four eggs, and migrates south to coastal lagoons and estuaries for winter. Long orange-red legs, a slim bill with a dark tip, and loud “teu-teu-teu” calls make it unmistakable on the shoreline.
