In the High Tatras there are approximately 600 km of marked footpaths that will allow tourists to discover the most beautiful places in the mountain landscape. Hiking trails along the valleys, the climbs on the Tatras huts, the paths to the most beautiful Tatra mountain lakes, the Tatra peaks or the two-thousand-meter gables, the passages through the Tatras with heavenly views, as well as the fascinating world of animals and plants.
If you visit this picturesque piece of land, you will certainly enjoy it.
Hotel Patria, on the pic, with its very characteristic composition, is situated in the locality of Strbske Pleso and is named after one of the Tatra shields on the backdrop of the scenery of this lake.
The competition for the hotel project in this locality ran for the first time in 1958 - 1959, but its results were not realized. The project was finally developed and in the years 1968 - 1973 the Czech architect Zdeněk Řihák (1924 - 2006), the winner of numerous awards for artistic and architectural solutions with rich experience in the field of hotel building construction.
